Hotel Nena

A staff member helped me even though I wasn't staying at the hotel. I had hurt my ankle, and he lent me crutches so I could get to my Uber, which was up and around the street. That's a pretty hard walk on crutches. Thank you so much for helping me. I'm sorry I didn't ask his name, I was in pain at the time.

A good-sized bathroom had plenty of counter space and drawers, and they left water there for brushing teeth and such. The room was also roomy, with basic amenities: TV, heat and AC, a minibar, a couple of chairs, drawers, and space to hang clothes. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had around ten choices, including Mexican dishes and two egg options, plus fresh fruit, juice, and bread. The Wi-Fi worked well enough for us to stream videos without buffering. A very nice hotel, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting SMA.

The shower had a rain head, but the water pressure wasn't enough for a proper shower if you're a woman. Aside from that, our large room was beautifully furnished, the bed and linens were super comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. The front desk staff were really nice and helpful, and the restaurant was excellent. They also left a bottle of excellent red blend wine with the room. A lovely little boutique hotel in a perfect central spot. Definitely a good choice in San Miguel!

The front desk warned us that music from the rooftop restaurant might be noisy near room Isabel. It played late, but after we complained on the first night, they turned it down at 10 p.m. If you go to bed early and sleep lightly, I'd avoid that room. We were in SMA for a weekend and loved the attentive service and location. The room was small but had what we needed, and the bathroom had good water temperature and pressure, which isn't guaranteed in an old city. Everything was spotless, the included breakfast was delicious, and the location is close to everything. We'd happily stay again, just in a different room.
