Barb made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond. She’s an amazing, fun, helpful host, and we absolutely LOVE Villa Santa Barbara. The property was beautiful, relaxing, and extremely clean. I spent hours floating in the pool with a cocktail. My husband went fishing with a local guide three times, I took a surf lesson, and we enjoyed local restaurants and bands. Perfect in every way. Barb takes such good care of her guests and goes above and beyond. We loved this beautiful place and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, and our junior suite had everything we needed.

We loved watching the fishermen pass through the canals, and there’s an incredible variety of birds here. The town is easy to reach on foot, by bike, or by water taxi from the villa dock, and bikes are provided. It’s a cozy little place with just a few suites and a great pool for hot days. We’ll be back!

We had such a lovely week here and will definitely return. Barra de Navidad is a beautiful town, and the villa is an easy walk from downtown. Barb was the best host, answered all our questions, and arranged fresh fish and prawns from a local fisherman. She also booked in-suite massages for us with the ladies, as we requested. Each morning, a French baker boats up to the canal dock with fresh coffee and croissants. Such a cool experience! Bikes were available to rent, and water taxis can pick you up right at the dock if you prefer. We stayed in the Junior Suite and enjoyed it very much. It had everything for a comfortable stay, from the king-sized bed and double sinks to a kitchenette. One thing to keep in mind: the suite is in front of the pool area, so for more privacy I’d suggest the penthouse or Premier Suite.
