The restaurant serves good food at fair prices, and the place itself works well for a vacation. Still, customer satisfaction doesn't seem to be a priority for the staff. Joaquín especially seems poorly suited to the job, and I've had reservation trouble at the facilities twice, so confirm the details in advance. Some staff and security also come across as oddly arrogant. Watch your step on the paddle tennis courts, where sand beneath the surface leaves uneven patches you could trip on.

The restaurant service was painfully slow, and the food left a lot to be desired. The constant attention from hotel staff was just as uncomfortable. I understand security matters, but we felt watched the whole time, even though nobody ever told us off and we weren't breaking any rules. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The facilities were lovely, which made the rest of the experience with my family especially disappointing. I had come on vacation and to film content for my travel agency, but I wouldn't recommend this place or feel comfortable offering it to clients or people I know. When we arrived, security kept us waiting for an hour while they contacted the apartment owner. Three male guards spoke disrespectfully and demanded that we wait out on the avenue beyond the entrance, in the rain with cars passing close by at speed. They threatened a fine if we didn't go, putting my family at risk. They said we weren't guests until they got confirmation. We had also missed the first day of our reservation for personal reasons and had notified them; we were told it wouldn't be a problem, but the guards hadn't been informed and tried to charge us for an extra night. The fourth guard finally explained things respectfully. I was furious that the others seemed to take advantage of their position because we were women with children. Once they let us in after an hour, they started speaking to us properly. That night we reserved the games area. The receptionist kindly said we could use the foosball table while playing billiards since there were adults and girls with us. When the time came, a male security guard nearly shouted at us to hand over the foosball ball, saying each apartment could use only one game because the equipment was in high demand. The room was completely empty. I understand a one-game limit, but there was no reason to speak to us that way as if we should already know the rules, especially after staff had said it was allowed. It suggests poor communication among staff and a need for training in respectful, polite treatment of guests. A few hours after we had left, the agency representative sent us a voice message telling us to move our car from the parking space, even though we were already far away.

It's a beautiful place, but staff harassment made it impossible to enjoy. They seem to be constantly looking for reasons to fine you, and they take pictures of you in your swimsuit without asking.
