We couldn't easily find transportation into the city center, and the house itself was dirty. There were also problems with the water pipes, but the host never came to deal with them. He said he'd arrive at 9:00 am the next day after we reported it. I waited until 11:00 am, with no arrival or reply to my calls and messages. The service was terrible. Trying to use the microwave tripped the circuit breakers because it overloaded the electrical circuit. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place.

The house is roomy enough for four and has what you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a gated community outside Campeche, about a 10-minute drive from downtown. There were two problems with the bathrooms: one shower had barely any water, sometimes none, and the other bathroom needed fumigation because of crawling insects. Once those are sorted out, the house should be comfortable. It could use a working TV too, since the only one there is old and doesn't work.
