Canopy by Hilton Cancun La Isla

The staff are what made Canopy Cancun memorable for me. Yohandra Alfonso, and Alberto were kind, attentive, and always willing to do a little extra to make sure I felt comfortable. I really appreciated their professionalism and warmth. The hotel itself is beautiful, relaxing, and well maintained. I had an amazing stay and would gladly come back. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Cancun.

The food was so good, and the staff made the stay even better. Karla was great at suggesting dishes and drinks, and she served us with the biggest smile. Amazing service.

I’m staying at Canopy by Hilton in a junior suite with a panoramic view. The room is nice, though it doesn’t have a refrigerator or microwave. Yesterday my bracelet came up missing at the hotel. Instead of checking their system to see who had entered my room, they named Ivan, the security officer, and the woman scheduled to clean it. They tried to say she was part of the security team, even though she had cleaned my room the day before and was a lifeguard later that night. I mention Ivan by name because he said nasty things about me in Spanish, apparently not realizing I understand and speak Spanish. They eventually found the bracelet in a cup I’d just thrown away before opening the door. I hope nobody else has to go through this. @Hilton, please teach staff the proper way to handle a report of something missing. They should check room entry records and then review the cameras. None of that happened. Instead, they called me a liar in Spanish.

Rene Koloil was welcoming and friendly, and he made me feel at home throughout my stay. He also gave me useful tips and helped me with the complimentary Canopy bicycle, which I rode all around Cancun. The rooftop pool and sunset view are amazing, and the service from the whole staff was superb. Great hotel. Say hi to Rene when you go.
