Condo in Ocean Front Resort

This was the worst place my family and I have ever stayed. We booked for $367, but Silvia, the Argentinean manager, said that because we had two teenagers with us, we had to pay an extra $50 per day plus a $125 deposit. We asked if that came with free food or anything extra, and they said no. Three days before our trip I’d called and asked Silvia about the beach. She told my wife it was open and people were using it, so we shouldn’t cancel. The day after we arrived, security told us beach access had been closed for over a week and management knew about it. We also asked for two extra blankets, towels, soap, and shampoo, but Silvia refused, saying we only got what was in the room. Towels and sheets are changed only every five days. The blue beach towels were torn, part of the toilet lid was missing, the walls were broken, and ceiling tiles weren’t properly in place. We left the AC on so the room would be cool when we got back, but each day it was off and the floor was humid and sticky. We later found that Silvia had charged us $641 plus another $125. When we called to ask why, she told us to contact our bank because it wasn’t her problem. She wouldn’t answer when we called again, despite several attempts. This is a terrible experience. This is the second time I’ve posted this, and they keep taking it down so people won’t read it. She canceled the reservation on booking.com so I couldn’t leave a review.

The beach and water were so clean, with no huge rocks, and the hotel is really close to La Isla shopping center. We had a spectacular week in the Hotel Zone, with one of the best locations. Our room was huge, clean, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place.

Everything else was great, and I’d go back if they promise to respect our privacy next time. Some people in my party were getting over a cold, so a couple of thick blankets would have helped. The AC in the main room wasn’t working, and after we called the owner to let her know, someone came in and repaired it without telling us. We don’t know whether they entered while we were out or while someone was showering or asleep. They should have called to warn us someone would be coming in. There could have been a minor there. That’s a security breach and disrespectful. Manners, people.

Clean, spacious apartment in a lovely spot. The host was excellent, and I’d definitely recommend it. The onsite gym is awesome and costs just 6 dollars for all day. I especially recommend the adult only pool and the 70 dollar day pass.
