The location is good and it’s quiet, with working AC and a hot shower. Things were clean, but old and full of holes. The bed was so bad I could feel the springs and couldn’t sleep, so I had to book another hotel.

This is a very old building. If you get a patio, check that the door locks, because the doors may be broken. Our room wasn’t clean, and there was sand, ants, or bed bugs all over the beds. I was really itchy. If you don’t believe me, look under the bed. I suspect housekeeping or their kids steal, so lock your bags.

We checked four different rooms, and every one smelled strongly of mold and mustiness. My friend had booked ten days but had to cancel and pay for one night, since she couldn’t stay at all. I also had an allergic reaction within the first few minutes.

I stayed here a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel and location were really enjoyable, quiet, and relaxing. The staff were lovely, mostly Spanish-speaking, but that was all good. The beds definitely could use an update.

It’s affordable, though a little hidden and somewhat far from nightlife and shopping. The hotel is standard lodging: the AC works, the beds are comfortable, and there’s storage for your things. The updated bathrooms are gorgeous.
