Communication was excellent, and we stayed for two nights, but the room was extremely dirty. The sheets were already soiled when we arrived, and there was no hot water or pressure at either the sink or shower. We even had an unwelcome cockroach guest. At 30cad for one night, it honestly didn't feel worth it. This rental isn't really ideal, though prices seem overvalued all around Cancun.

The owner was nice, and at $17 this was the cheapest hotel. Oxxo is two blocks away, with the shopping district seven blocks away. But there was no A/C, and the fan barely moved air. The window screens were torn; I told the boss, but they weren't fixed during my nine-night stay. Mosquitoes got in, the sheets were never changed, and the WiFi was weak.

The owner was really friendly, and the very low price could suit travelers trying to save money. Still, I wasn't comfortable here. The patio looked less clean in person than in the photos, and without air conditioning the rooms got very hot at night. At first the place seemed dangerous after dark, though I think someone might get used to it. It's probably for the brave or for backpackers. It wasn't right for me, but some people may appreciate it.

The bike rental was a nice extra: we got two days free, then paid 200 pesos for both bikes for the whole day on day three. The owners were very friendly, and there's a bus stop nearby that makes it quick to reach the beaches, plus an Oxxo store. The rooms are cozy but very low standard, and the immediate area seemed quite dangerous, so I wouldn't suggest walking around at night. Our first impression wasn't great, but we'd still happily come back in the future :)
