We had an anniversary lunch on our last day at Andiamo, and the staff surprised us with two cakes. Thank you to Diana, Gabriela, Yulibaldo, Carlos, and Pedro for such a thoughtful gesture. The people at Andiamo were consistently friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff were definitely the best part of the hotel and made our stay memorable. The buffet was disappointing, with limited choice and food that didn’t match Andiamo’s quality. One side of the hotel is also quite dated. About half the restaurants were closed for renovations while we were there, leaving only Andiamo and the buffet included. The other open restaurant cost extra, which didn’t seem fair given the reduced options. We wish we’d been told from the start so we could have decided whether this hotel suited our stay.

Edilberto made our evening at Andiamo feel especially welcoming. He was friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure we were looked after throughout the meal. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and better than we expected. We’d happily eat there again and recommend it.

The food was fantastic everywhere, with plenty of variety. Even the buffet had a pleasant atmosphere, and it was the only place with made-to-order omelettes. We didn’t have dinner at the steakhouse because it cost extra, but staying in the Royal tower gave us access to its quieter breakfast and lunch buffet. Alicia served us three times at breakfast and once at lunch, and she was very sweet. Butler Yahahira was responsive on Whatsapp, and after the busy weekend she usually found time to stop by daily for a chat and a smile. My wife and I loved our seven-night stay at Grand Park Royal Cancun, celebrating our 30th anniversary. It was our first visit to Cancun and our first all-inclusive, and we’d stay here again if we return. We booked in January for February 21-28, 2026, so there weren’t many rooms to choose from. We ended up with an upgraded Royal Select King Hot Tub Oceanfront room in the Royal tower. We didn’t expect perks like butler service, priority restaurant reservations, and an included bali bed, usually $30-50 a day. We don’t usually pay for upgrades, but this one seemed good value for the extra cost. We highly recommend the location. The Hotel Zone is 20-30 minutes from the airport, and Cancun has no better beaches. We felt very safe here, even while hearing news about a cartel leader being targeted elsewhere.

At Andiamo, our waiters fYulivaldo y Verulo were always so nice. The food and service were delicious, ask for them! Mario and Miguel were attentive at the sushi restaurant, and the sushi was delicious. Chef Lorenzo did a great job. Eduardo kept us up to date on sports like volleyball and soccer, along with the different activities. He was always helpful and nice, an amazing person.

Ignacio was one of the highlights of the resort. He’s a terrific bartender, friendly, attentive, and clearly loves his work. He made us feel welcome as soon as we sat down, remembered what we liked, and served every drink with a smile. His professionalism and energy added a lot to our stay. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, with an incredible, well-kept beach that wasn’t crowded. It’s a peaceful place for unwinding by the ocean, though there isn’t much nightlife on the property, so it suits a laid-back trip more than a party break. A few drawbacks: portions around the resort were small enough that we sometimes wanted to order more than one dish. The gym closes at 8 p.m., which seemed early for evening workouts. Koi Oriental looked nice, but didn’t live up to the hype and felt overrated compared with other dining choices. The lovely beach and service, especially Ignacio’s, stood out. For a quiet Cancun getaway, this resort delivers.
