The only parts I liked were a couple of the younger bartenders and the guy making hot dogs. The older bartenders were very flirty with me, a younger girl, although they were nice. We got locked out of our room on the first night just from stepping onto the balcony. The drinks were really limited unless you paid extra to upgrade, which seems ridiculous for an all-inclusive. The resort is far from everything, so leaving means spending more. The rooms smelled like mold, and the food was so bad I barely ate for all six days. I got sick right after I got home. Not worth the money or the experience, and I wouldn't stay again.

The beach is beautiful, the drinks kept coming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I found a good deal and was really happy with the value. It's an older resort, but clean. The buffet is plain and basic, not like a Mexican restaurant in the States, though I found something to eat at every meal. This place is best for Spanish-speaking families, so the atmosphere may not suit everyone. I got by with some basic Spanish and Google Translate a few times. Think of it as a no-frills all-inclusive motel 6. There's no entertainment team, no TVs around the resort except in rooms, no room Wi-Fi, firm basic beds and linens, one bar, and one buffet restaurant. The pool bar was never open while I was there. If you don't need extras and can get a deal, it could be a great value. I'd avoid it if you have mobility issues: there are lots of stairs, some slippery and many without handrails. The all-inclusive setup probably isn't a good fit for food allergies or very picky eaters. At check-in, make sure you get pool and beach towel cards to exchange at the laundry room. A refillable water bottle for the buffet and a travel cup for drinks are handy if you don't want small plastic cups.

I stayed here in 2014, and it was a health risk then. It's still insects, dirt, and a terrible state of affairs. Nothing has changed. People, have some shame. Be careful!

Great location and good value, around $100 a night. We stayed in an “apartment,” though it was really a bedroom with an efficiency kitchenette. It had everything we needed.

We had no blankets on our first night, and the room was freezing. My fiancée was miserable all night, and we nearly packed up and booked somewhere else. At the front desk, the staff were indifferent, unprofessional, and showed no empathy. There was no apology or quick attempt to fix it, just shrugs and attitude. Customer service stayed exceptionally poor throughout. I wouldn't recommend this place if you need basic comfort or staff who care. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
