The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but there were too many problems for us. Check-in took 45 minutes while they retrieved our online booking. The large bathroom had nowhere to hang towels or clothes, and since there were three of us, we had to ask for the missing third towel. The internet kept us from watching a movie. It was also hard to sleep. Two of the room's four walls had odd old-fashioned windows, so we could hear the lobby, courtyard, and hallway. At three, things were quiet until horns sounded outside, then two employees talked at reception, and we could hear them in our room. That kind of noise isn't acceptable in a hotel. Maybe those windows suited a house or hacienda, but they don't work for a hotel room.

A clean, spacious place to settle in while visiting or passing through. There are large indoor sitting areas on each floor, and many rooms have balconies and big bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi, water jugs in common areas, and indoor parking when space is available. There's a good coffee shop next door, several food choices nearby, and street shopping around the corner.

The location is handy for shopping, dining, and nightlife, and this place has a lot of potential. But my two-night reservation, made a day or two ahead, had been forgotten when I arrived. Diego sorted things out quickly, though he initially charged me for one night instead of two. I settled the balance with Brian that evening, and he was very pleasant. I've worked in tourism for a while, so I know mix-ups happen, but the information should be shared or checked among staff. The next morning I planned to sleep in. Housekeeping asked if I was staying another night, and when I said yes, asked whether I wanted the room cleaned. I politely declined and went back to bed, but then another front desk employee woke me up. I didn't get his name. He was really rude and showed me a sign translated into English, though I spoke to him in Spanish. He told me I needed to come down and pay if I was staying. I said I'd already settled with Brian, and he gave me a mean look and said he didn't know about that. I told him I'd come down shortly. When I showed him my receipts, he just said, “yes it's checked,” and went back to sweeping. He didn't apologize. I was pissed, but didn't want him to ruin my day. I'm not sure if I got one of the worst rooms, 102, but it looked nothing like the photos online. It was noisy too. I could hear housekeeping talking and pushing carts, as well as other guests showering and flushing toilets. I've attached photos from my stay.
