The other hotel we found was cleaner, better maintained, and cheaper, probably because it had a promotion. We decided to ask to see a room there while heading out for food, and then realized how much we regretted our choice. We went back, explained politely, and asked for at least part of our money back because of the room’s condition. They refused, so we left the key and stayed elsewhere. I’d tell anyone unfamiliar with this hotel to ask to see the room before paying. We stayed here about two years ago and had a decent room, so we trusted it would be okay again and paid 550 pesos upfront without looking. That was a mistake. As soon as we entered, there was an almost unbearable smell from the bathroom. We tried the air conditioning, but it barely helped. We hadn’t left to find another hotel at first, we were just going to get dinner. Management and staff, if you want people to return, please keep the rooms in better shape and be more flexible when they clearly fall short.

We checked in at 4 pm, went out shopping and touring, and got back around 8. By 11:30 pm we’d found bed bugs. We complained and moved rooms, but there were more bugs there too. The third room was filthy, with stained sheets and bugs. Parking was bad, there was no hot water, and the shower curtains were torn up. We asked for a full refund and only got 45% back because we’d already used the room. I’m not coming back.

Check the rooms before you pay. We paid cash after arriving around 3 pm for our online booking, then discovered the AC didn’t work, there was no shower curtain, and the fan was hanging off the ceiling. They said no other rooms would be available for three hours. We asked for a full refund so we could find another hotel, but they refused and returned only 50%. We found a cheaper, cleaner hotel across the market where everything worked.
