The rooms were okay and clean, but the service was horrible. They charge for towels or blankets if they’ve been used and left dirty or stained. Worst of all, my husband forgot his wallet in the room, and when we realized, cash was missing. Please be aware and avoid staying here. The staff had a lot of attitude when we asked questions.
The room cost more than Xcalax next door, and I brought my family of three. There were mosquitoes and other flying insects in the rooms. You have to sign a waiver saying you’ll be charged if towels or blankets get stained. My son was bitten by mosquitoes, then accidentally killed one with his towel, leaving a small blood stain. They wouldn’t hear anything about the mosquitoes and charged us a $200 persons fine. The AC wasn’t working properly, and there was a lot of noise. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
There was hair, a feather, and spiders in the disgusting room. The AC started leaking within 10 minutes, and some important documents got wet. I don’t recommend it.
The staff were really friendly and my room was tidy. I had a fantastic stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.
The service was lovely, and there’s free WiFi. For quality rooms in Chetumal, the prices are the best.
