The courtyard is beautiful, with blooming plants and birds calling, and the restaurant was very pleasant. I stayed here on two separate nights. Both times the rooms were clean and spacious, with heat-pump climate control. They say an airport shuttle is available, but in practice you take a cab and should expect to pay 450 pesos for the 30-minute ride. It was a lovely place to stay before heading to the airport.

I only prepaid because I was worried about the currency exchange, and I really shouldn’t have. When I had to cancel, getting a refund turned into weeks of being sent in circles. The hotel told me to contact the booking platform, which made no sense since I booked directly on THEIR site. Ecommerce 365 told me to call the hotel, and the hotel sent me back again. Even two months ahead, there’s a 10% cancellation penalty, which I accepted, but after that they still didn’t respond or refund me. I can’t recommend this place in good faith.

The gardens and pool inside feel like an oasis, and the porches overlooking the corridors are a lovely place to sit in the evening. We hadn’t planned to stay, since we meant to drive on to the coast, but the road conditions made us stop. I’m glad we found it. Staff were tending to the grounds that afternoon, sweeping away cobwebs, and the friendly service and care taken to maintain the property made it clear the people running it really care. It’s also well placed as a base for day trips, though we didn’t have time to take any.

The tropical garden and the atmosphere were lovely, and I liked the rooms too. Breakfast was good and the staff were nice. The pool had some leaves and could’ve been cleaner, but we arrived just after a storm, so that was understandable.
