There’s an artisanal market just outside the main building, open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, with Mezcal with scorpion, local crafts and produce. They have a great range of insects to try and tasty cheeses. The property itself is beautiful and historic, with bungalows for rent, and some of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. Hot showers, lovely views, and a golf course all around. There’s also a coffee shop on site and a restaurant serving local breakfast with blue tortillas.

We booked a room advertised with a golf course view, but where was it? The photos are attached. We were given two choices: pay more, or leave the car at the main building and walk half a mile to the room with all our luggage. There was no valet parking, and the route was an unlit rural road. We had to ask for a copy of the map they'd used to show us where the room was. The country club entrance was hard to spot, with no light or large sign. Nobody showed us to the room or helped us find it, park properly, carry luggage upstairs, or explain the room amenities.

A wonderful, authentic Mexican hacienda stay in a beautiful, organically certified golf and country club setting. The food and atmosphere are great, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The weekend buffet gets very busy and has a wide range of choices.

Getting an Uber taxi is difficult, so you need to ask the front desk to call one. Sometimes the prices are more than four times the normal rate.

Diego was the best waiter ever, so welcoming and incredibly attentive. He speaks very good English and deserves a raise! The hacienda is gorgeous and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be back because of him. Thank you, Diego!
