Hotel Isabel

The food at the restaurant was pretty good and reasonably priced, and the waiter was very kind to us. They left two bottles of water for each of us daily, with more bottled water available to buy. There's also an exceptional bakery a block away. I was glad I brought a blow dryer since the hotel doesn't provide them. We stayed Jan 21st to Jan 28th. My friend speaks Spanish, but I don't. The staff were helpful, though I can't say how many speak English. We had a basic room with a quite small bathroom, and water from the shower went everywhere. They happily gave us an extra towel for the floor. The beds were comfortable, and we felt safe at the hotel and walking around the area. We'd asked for a quiet room and got one at the back, overlooking a small, pretty patio. Light sleepers should avoid rooms over the bar, which is noisy most nights. The rooftop patio was nice, and the lobby was nicely decorated during our stay. It's a great location, close to the Zocolo and The Alameda, with pharmacies nearby. We hired our own driver and guide, so I can't comment on the tours the hotel offers. For the location, the price was very good. This is a nice but basic hotel. I traveled to Mexico City with another older lady, and we had a great trip. Thanks to the staff of Hotel Isabel.

My family and I were comfortable in our rooms during our wonderful visit to Mexico City. The whole Zocalo area felt safe, and we'll definitely stay at Hotel Isabel again when we come back. Thanks to the staff for their service!

The food is so delicious and Mexican, and the employees are really kind. Hotel Isabel is always my first choice when I visit Mexico City. A 10/10 for me 🩷

Breakfast was included in my rate and was wonderful. The location is amazing, with almost everywhere within walking distance. Having to leave the key at the front desk felt a little silly, but I'd absolutely recommend staying here and will come back on my next visit.
