The staff were kind and considerate, and the place was beautiful and clean. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and the spa felt peaceful and relaxing. The pool and terrace were closed during our stay. Better pillows would help, and little extras like bubbles for the tubs would be nice. Stay at least three nights.

The bed was comfortable, and the walls were thick enough that we could barely make out the loud bang or stomping we kept hearing, possibly from the street. Still, for 4000 pesos for two nights, I expected more service, especially with only seven guest rooms and few occupied. Parking cost extra, as did everything else, even coffee or another bottle of water. Breakfast wasn't included, there was no small fridge or microwave, and there weren't enough outlets. There was only one bedside table for two beds, and no bathrobes, even though the boutique hotel focuses on spa treatments. Massages cost 1000 pesos for just 30 minutes. The bathroom was small and outdated, and the bathtub could barely fit two people. The pool was very dirty, with green water and lots of algae. For the price, I was disappointed.

We were staying at the hotel across the street and stopped by for breakfast. The courtyard meal was delicious. We'd peeked in the day before, and the staff welcomed us and even showed us around the historic property.

The room was beautifully furnished, the bed was comfy, and there was plenty of hot water. Staff were very attentive, and breakfast was delicious, especially the best huevos rancheros I've ever had. We enjoyed the view and sunbathing on the deck. It made a perfect last night in Mexico.
