The mountain view from the terrace is beautiful, and the location is very convenient. We liked being able to use the kitchen. The staff were helpful and friendly, and I’d stay here again.

The best things about this hostel were the strong air conditioning in April and the caretaker, "Angelica," who knows a lot about the town’s layout. It’s two blocks from the "Plaza," with good restaurants within walking distance. Room 4 has six bunk beds and shares one bathroom, while the other four rooms each have their own. The bunks sag, and the mattresses rest on short 1/2" x 4" wooden slats that keep falling out while you sleep. There are no mirrors in the room or bathroom, nowhere to put soap or shampoo in the shower except the floor, and the shower temperature is a constant struggle, either scalding hot or freezing cold with nothing in between. The bathroom sink has the same problem. Would I stay again? No. I’d rather pay extra for a hotel. Hope this helps.

It was the cheapest hostel I found, 250 for a shared room. Breakfast was continental, a towel was included, and laundry service cost 40 pesos. The dorm was very clean and had a big locker, fans, and AC, so it wasn’t hot at all. The staff were really friendly. There’s a large patio and terrace, plus a lounge area with a TV, some DVDs, and an Xbox. The location is good, about 10 minutes from the bus station and 5 from the center. I can’t really comment on the atmosphere since it was low season and I was there alone.

The owners are a lovely couple, and they speak English. We highly recommend taking a tour of Cuatro Cienegas with them. A lot of thought has gone into the place, with a really cool design and plenty of comfortable spots to relax. We had a brilliant stay. Thanks so much, guys!
