I liked the hotel's cleanliness, beauty, pool, central location, and sweet staff, and I would come back. But it's hardly a five-star hotel, and these things may matter to you: there's no coffee in the room, the dining room coffee is REALLY weak, and the Wi-Fi is really bad. Swimming isn't allowed from 8pm-8am, and children aren't allowed. The water might be cold, so check that it works when you arrive. If you have sensory issues, the ammonia cleaning smell is strong.

We only stayed one night for a friend's wedding in Cuernavaca and were pleasantly surprised. Room 5 was amazing and quiet, with the loveliest bathroom I've seen in a long time. The hotel is beautiful, in a colonial style, and the staff are very nice. Many important places to visit are within walking distance. Definitely recommend.

The manager's behavior was unprofessional. She yelled at us and kicked us out in front of other guests while we were by the pool, acting like she owned the place. I asked the other front counter staff if I could pay for an extra night just to enjoy the pool for a few hours, but the manager, aka "the Karen," just said, "Leave my hotel." I grabbed my things, gave the nice young lady who was serving us beers a $20.00 tip in front of the manager, and said we were American, had just been enjoying the hotel, and would leave. I thanked them for letting us stay in the $50.00-a-night room. Worst customer service ever.

It's easy to get to all the downtown Cuernavaca attractions from this perfectly located hotel. The reception is very nice, and the rooms are clean, simple, cozy, and classy with their neutral colors. Breakfast is included and very good quality, though there's not much variety. The pool area is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. It has everything needed for a pleasant stay.

I'd give it 3.9 stars. Hotel Casa Colonial includes breakfast with a one-night stay, and the amenities are what you'd expect from a "colonial" hotel. It's in a great spot for visiting Cuernavaca, close to museums, cathedrals, the zocalo, and nice restaurants. It's safe and clean. Rates change with the season, and my stay was around 60 dollars US.
