Hotel Posada San Angelo

We came as a large group for a wedding nearby and booked five rooms. While we were out, staff entered rooms supposedly to clean and took wallets containing cash and bank cards from two rooms. One card was used in an attempted transaction, and our friend received a notification. One of the guests got her money back after raising the issue. The other filed an official claim after three hours of discussion with the hotel management led nowhere. Management also acknowledged that they’d had similar issues recently. The property itself is very run-down, almost abandoned. It could be lovely, but the pool and outdoor chairs were dirty, and there was no food or drink service despite the terrace and tables. The room kitchens had no cutlery or dishes, and the whole place needs care and attention. Avoid it.

Hotel San Angelo was such a beautiful place, with Spanish-style architecture and lovely interiors and grounds. Everything was clean, the rooms looked great and were reasonably priced, and the staff were so friendly. I’m glad I stayed here during my visit to Cuernavaca, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.

The rooms were spacious and sparkling clean, and the staff were incredibly caring. I also loved the relaxing pool. Sofia, the cook, is wonderful.
