It's a basic place and good value for the money. You can walk to downtown, if you're willing to walk.

At checkout, the receptionist was reluctant to assist us. The check-in had already been awful: there was no hotel staff, just one person who seemed illiterate. We were a motorcycle club of eleven people with seven bikes, and sorting out keys and rooms was chaotic even though everyone had a reservation. It was a truly terrible experience. How can they put untrained people in charge of a hotel?

The place could be relaxing, but several things weren't working well when I visited. The cabin barely got internet, and the TV signal was weak. The facilities, especially the pool, needed much better cleaning. My dad and I were practicing on the basketball court, but the sewage smell made it hard to breathe.

The price advertised on the website turned out to exclude taxes and other charges, which were only mentioned in tiny print, so we were hit with a hefty bill when we arrived. The facilities were terrible. Our rooms had visible damp damage, the bathroom smelled unbearably of sewage, and the shower drain was clogged. The small TV was mounted too high for a decent picture, and its remote didn't work. One of the double beds had a tiny pillow, and both pillows were thin and stiff. In another room there were ants, a broken towel rack, and no towel. The windows had no curtains or blinds, so daylight came straight in at dawn.
