Hotel Rincón Real Suites

We booked a few nights but left after just one. The rooms were filthy, with stains everywhere, broken windows, and no hot shower water. Neither the Wi-Fi nor the TV signal worked, and the whole place felt sketchy. They don’t give refunds, so be aware. I wouldn’t recommend it or return.

We stayed about two weeks in the four-bed apartment, and it was quiet, without crazy noise or traffic. Being close enough to walk into downtown Durango was great, and the staff even suggested places to try. Breakfast was awesome, and the kitchen ladies were lovely. Diego was a huge help from the start. He sent videos, pictures, and other things I asked for so my family and I could feel comfortable about the stay. There was another gentleman working for most of our visit who was also a great help. I’m sorry I can’t remember his name, but I think he was in charge. I had no issues and know where I’ll stay when I come back. I strongly recommend the hotel and want to thank all the attentive staff. No place is perfect, but I wanted to share the positive experience too.

Our first room was dirty and still being remodeled. The bathroom wasn’t clean, the shower drain was clogged, and there were no towels. They moved us upstairs, where things were somewhat better but still dirty. The heater and a/v didn’t work there either, and we had to ask for towels again and again. Maintenance staff tried to make us leave 20 minutes before the noon checkout. We would have gone elsewhere, but every other hotel was booked.

The location is great and the courtyard rooms are modern and good. Wi-Fi worked well, though hot water came and went. Be warned that the cheaper rooms have no outside windows, so they feel very dark and depressing. They also replaced our soaps and towels partway through the stay for no reason. That wastes plastic, soap, and laundry. Please think about the environment, and you could save money too ;)
