Victoria Express Durango

The afternoon coffee and conchas brought right to the room are a lovely touch. We’ve stayed here two years running while visiting family in Durango, and it’s been pleasant each time. The rooms are clean, the AC works, the water pressure is good, and the pool is just right for cooling off on hot days. This will be our go-to place when we visit Durango.

The room was on the small side, but clean, and the beds were comfortable. It’s a well located place with great service and friendly staff. There’s a covered, warm pool and spa for rainy days, plus tennis courts for anyone who wants them. The restaurant just outside the lobby is a must visit.

Loved how clean the hotel was, and the beds were comfy too. The pool and hot tub are great, and the staff are nice. You can park your car there, and they bring free coffee and concha at 7 pm. Can’t wait to return.

The room was a decent size, with a comfortable king bed, and the price was reasonable. The hotel has secure parking guarded around the clock, and a basic breakfast is included. The coffee was awful, though. You’d think a country that grows coffee could do better, but it is what it is. At our first breakfast, the waiter was distant and aloof, and we left before eating the free meal. We were persuaded to come back, and the young woman who served us was a gem. Over the next four days, that other waiter wasn’t there. I have a feeling he doesn’t work there anymore. The pool is a little odd. It’s only about 4 and 1/2 ft deep, and there’s a waterfall, but the water doesn’t fall on you. There’s also a hot tub, except it isn’t hot and the jets don’t run. Even so, the hotel is on a recommended list.
