The location is close to the town center, and the entrance is behind a closed, monitored gate. But at 2k a night, this was a really poor stay. The mattress was awful, and the bathroom had no floor mat, which felt like a fall risk. I couldn't find shower soap, or at least it wasn't labeled. Breakfast was just fruit and cereal, with no apparent care for keeping the area clean or ventilated. It feels caught between being a B&B and charging hotel prices.

We booked for two and asked to have our rooms together, but the staff were extremely unhelpful. They said there was no way to choose adjoining rooms, despite having told us otherwise, and refused to move the rooms even though the price was the same. Their only suggestion was to cancel and book again.

We liked being a couple of blocks uphill from the central square, since it kept us away from the crowds on busy days. The upper room was comfortable and had great views, a nice option for an affordable romantic weekend. The part we didn't like was that they allow pets.

We found a room with a lovely view at an affordable price, even though we only booked that day. My husband and I felt lucky to get it and loved the place.

The views are stunning, and the place feels cozy and welcoming.
