There’s plenty of room, and each unit has its own garage as a separate section. Breakfast is really good, but the local roast coffee is the star. I loved sitting in the garden with a cup in the morning, watching hummingbirds dart around.

Guacamayas call in the morning, and you might spot leaf-cutter ants, colibries, and butterflies too. It’s a lovely escape from the city buzz. The service was top-notch, and breakfast was the best I had in Mexico.

The grounds seemed clean and well looked after, and the people who helped us in person were friendly. It’s also reasonably priced and in a convenient spot. But getting in touch was a real problem. I called and messaged several times to ask about prices or book, and heard nothing back, which made planning our trip much harder. We then found out on arrival that payment was cash only, inconvenient for those of us who don’t use cash day to day. They need to improve communication and offer more payment options.

We spent two nights here and would happily come back. It’s a simple, comfortable hotel right by the jungle, just a short walk from the Mayan site. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the shower stayed hot. Breakfast was basic but tasty and filling, and the staff were always cheerful and ready to help. There are restaurants nearby for other meals.
