It's cheap and very close to the archaeological site, and the staff were understanding and willing to help. In my case, they helped me find a room without humidity damage. But be aware that the online photos don't show what it's like now. The rooms have aged badly, and I saw ceilings with fungus; probably all the rooms have humidity problems. About half the buildings are being torn down or are under construction. It's sad, because judging from those pictures, the place used to be very pretty.

The hotel feels run down and badly in need of maintenance. Its design and layout are odd and not very people friendly, and WiFi is only available at reception. It draws busloads of tourists, and the food, service, and decor all felt mediocre, suited to mass tourism. The place seems set up to make money rather than give guests a good experience.

The mountain view was beautiful, and I loved watching all the birds fly over the swimming pool. The staff were super friendly, and I thought the price was very good for the quality. I'd been at hotel tunukun before moving here. I had already checked out because I needed to catch the night bus, but they let me back into the room to take a shower.

We had breakfast at the hotel every day, and it was always amazing. The service was great too, with everyone helping us get around tlaquepaque. If you're visiting in summer, air conditioning is a must, and this hotel has it. I strongly recommend staying here.
