La Casona de los Colibríes

A good place to relax. The only tricky part is getting there: it's right by a country club, the road can be confusing, and Maps sent me the wrong way on my first visit. Depending on how you look at it, that location could be a plus too.

Awful service from the hotel and Expedia. I booked without any trouble two and a half weeks ago, but now, only days before I was due to arrive, they canceled my room because of overbooking. Why couldn't they have told me when I made the booking? Terrible!!!

I loved the warm, homey feel of this little hotel, and the room was spotless with a classic look that suited the place. The staff were very friendly. It's in a residential area, away from the city center, so you'll need a car. My one wish is that the pool were heated. In cooler weather, it would be impossible to use for those of us who like warm or hot water. I'd definitely come back. 4.5.

The nights were lovely, with the starry sky overhead. The house is clean and quiet, and everyone was attentive and ready to help. The equestrian club is beautiful, and the entrance and restaurant have plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
