Torre Lucerna Hotel Ensenada

This is only about the inside restaurant. I ordered the Ceasar Salad with Shrimp, and the lettuce tasted like dirt. It seemed somewhat fresh, but clearly hadn’t been washed properly. The shrimp had a strong fishy flavor, which was bad. Either it had been left unrefrigerated too long or stored with fish. I expected much better from an upscale hotel, where the restaurant should be just as good. It was disappointing because the hotel itself is so nice.

A relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful hotel. The pool and jacuzzi are especially lovely at sunset and later at night when the lights are on. Service was great, the facilities were clean, and there are plenty of comfortable places to lounge and unwind. A perfect Ensenada getaway.

The poolside service was attentive, and the staff were friendly. There are umbrellas and loungers around the pool, but construction right beside it, with a half-finished building, makes it hard to relax. The outdoor area could use some care, too. The artificial grass and worn red concrete feel dated and underwhelming. Inside, the lobby feels warm and luxurious, almost like being somewhere else, and there was a pianist playing relaxing music. The hotel has potential, but the unfinished work took away from the experience. If you just need somewhere to stay and don’t mind the visual clutter, it may be fine. For luxury or a scenic atmosphere, I’d wait until the renovations are done.

The bedroom rugs could use a cleaning, but I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a modern, cool hotel, with an elegant and comfortable lobby and restaurant. The piano player in the evenings made it especially nice to hang out in the lobby. Breakfast at the buffet was impressive and reasonably priced.
