Casa Sabina

Friendly staff and a great hostel in a perfect location. It’s close to the action but still quiet and comfortable.

I’d stay here again for sure. The hostel is clean, the room is good, the price is good, and the friendly staff provide great service. The shared kitchen and bathroom were always clean, and the location is amazing, right by restaurants, bars, and cafes. There’s greenery all along the neighborhood, around the building, and outside. I liked that they message to ask whether you want your room cleaned. They have a super friendly, chill dog, too. I forgot its name and wished I could have had it in my room at night. The house is lovely, though mornings can be noisy, which didn’t bother me. Mosquitoes drove me nuts some nights, though.

It was really affordable, but I was exhausted after my flight and couldn’t sleep in because there was so much noise by 8 am. It echoed through the whole place, and I’m guessing it came from the attached coffee shop. The Airbnb replies seemed automated, so it took two extra steps to reach a real person. I arrived late because of my flight and wondered what would’ve happened if I’d been another 30 minutes later, since there was no automatic entry and the front desk person leaves by midnight. If you want to sleep in, this place isn’t for you.

There’s plenty of good food and drinks close by, and the hostel itself was spotless. We loved staying here and can’t wait to come back. The rooms and interiors are beautiful, the kitchen is well stocked, and the shared bathrooms were always perfectly clean. It’s in a great location.
