Hotel Suites Bernini

We planned to stay for three nights but left after the first. We’d arrived too late to check in somewhere else that night, and were so uncomfortable that we checked out the next morning. The room didn’t feel sanitary. Broken kitchen windows banged all night, and we could hear the neighbors clearly through the walls. The bed was harder than stone, and the shower reminded me of Harry Potter’s cupboard. Dogs barked outside all night, too. The location was misleading: it felt far from everything, on the other side of an industrial colonia. The lobby had a funky smell, and they made us sign a receipt form for the TV remote. That should have told us what to expect. I’m bewildered that this hotel gets high reviews.

The hotel is in a great location, and the people were polite. We booked two rooms and got upgraded to a suite, which was awesome, but there were some problems with the setup. One room had the boiler in it, so it was extra warm, and its shower was rusty and a bit too small. The second bedroom had just one outlet between the two beds and one standing fan. We had to move a bed so we could plug in the fan and point it toward us while we slept. They didn’t have an extension cord when we asked, and we had to charge both phones in the living room. The parking lot could use safety measures, maybe mirrors, because it’s one lane and you can’t see ahead. The spaces are also too small. We had to take up two spaces or risk climbing through the trunk when we got back.

The room was perfect for a comfortable stay and very clean. The service was amazing, and everyone was so nice. I really enjoyed staying there, and thanks to this hotel I had a lovely experience in Guadalajara. The only small annoyance was the loud motorcycles passing at midnight.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and they take pets. But mine had no air conditioning, and the windows wouldn’t open. I had a fan, but it still felt like a sauna. I was on the 15th floor, where it got windy at night, and I could feel the building sway a little. I mentioned it to the receptionist, who said no one had ever brought it up before.
