Hotel Love It CAS Consulate

They kept pushing me to submit my payment method, saying they wouldn't charge the card, but they did. Before arriving, I couldn't get answers to my questions, and communication was inconsistent. Their phones seemed to be out of service, and replies took more than 30 hours. Awful business practices.

Juan at the door was a big help with local tips and general information, and Gabriel in the restaurant was incredibly attentive to what I asked for. The rest of the staff were responsive and spoke English. I stayed two nights, and the large room was spotless. The whole hotel was well maintained and managed. It's within walking distance of everything I wanted to see. The safe in the room worked well, and the air conditioning was great. I've never had better towels, hand soap, or shampoo at a hotel. Good value, and I'd happily stay again.

The sewage smell in the bedroom made it hard to feel comfortable, which was a real disappointment. Otherwise, we had a good stay at “Love It” in Guadalajara. The central location was excellent, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. The restaurant had a good range of choices, though the food wasn't exceptional. If they sort out the smell, this would be a great place to stay.

My last stay at Love it Consulado hotel in Guadalajara was deeply upsetting. I've stayed there about three times before, but this time I lost a tablet, cameras, jewelry, phone, watch, and $8000 in cash. I believe the service staff may have been involved. Rather than help, hotel staff and police accused my friends of stealing the items. After four days of stress and little sleep, I had a mental breakdown. The hotel staff kicked me out and called the police instead of showing any understanding or support. Because of what the staff did, I ended up in jail. I was released only after the judge understood that I had reported the hotel staff, the brothel across the street *Ragga*, and the authorities as part of an organized crime ring abusing distressed tourists. I believe this group steals from tourists, drives them out of safe places, and eventually makes them disappear after taking everything. It hurts even more because during my first stay, I had helped someone who was suicidal. I'm deeply saddened for everyone else who may have been abused by the hotel in the same way or worse. The lack of security, support, and basic empathy from staff is appalling. I'm very disappointed and wouldn't recommend Love it Consulado Hotel to anyone. If you care about your safety and peace of mind, avoid it.
