There was a lot of mold and a bad smell, and it made me feel itchy. No one was there to help with check-in, so I had to wait 15 minutes to get in touch with the person at the door. Definitely don't recommend.

A good choice if you want to be right in the middle of everything. The rooms are all on the second floor, so expect to climb several steps. It's not luxurious, but I slept decently. I know people have posted about the bathroom, but for us it did the job.

The staff, who seemed like college students, were fairly nice. Our room had a balcony facing the Pipila Monument, plus a pleasant view of pigeons on the balcony roof across the street. The room felt old-fashioned and had a lot of odd things in it, and the bathroom was very small and strange-looking. We had our 5-month-old daughter with us, and she woke up a couple of times at night whenever I took a step toward the bathroom because the floor was so noisy. There was also a water dispenser with an empty bottle that they never replaced.

Right in the lively heart of old Guanajuato every day of the week, with great food, shops, clubs, restaurants and sites just steps away. The staff were helpful, and security was good.
