The pool was clean, the lobby looked beautiful, and parking felt safe. Our room was tidy, with robes, slippers, a stocked mini fridge, and restaurant room service. The shower was huge, and staff were attentive and helpful. The air conditioning was the letdown. The first unit wouldn’t cool the room below 85, so we had to move. The next room was better, though still not as cool as I wanted. I’d hoped for five stars, but I’m not sure this was limited to those two rooms.

The restaurant is great and the food tastes really good. The place was very clean, too.

This was my third event here, and the food has been a bad experience every time. It comes out very late and cold, there are no snacks, and most of the meals taste awful. The creams and meats were especially bad, with the meat dry and seeming old. My family and friends won’t be coming back. At least the employees are kind and polite.

The breakfast was good, but that’s where the positives end. The rooms are below average, and both the TV and Wi-Fi were unreliable. Parking is tight enough that I wouldn’t bring anything larger than a small compact SUV. The site planning is poor, with nothing by the entrance except a waiting area whose couches say “Royal” but feel more like Motel 6. For the price and upkeep, it feels like a one-star hotel. I’d expected more from Royal.

I came with my fiancée for the night on 12/21/2019. It was hard to find a spot just to check in, and the check-in itself took painfully long. Once we got to the room, it was clean and spacious. The price was reasonable, and I’d recommend staying here and would come back.
