The restaurant has a breakfast buffet, though the choices are limited. Service could be better, but most of the staff seem young and may be doing internships, so that might explain it. The hotel is a reasonable option if you're in Hermosillo for your visa process, about 20 minutes from the new Consulate General. The room is very basic, with just a bed, a small cable TV, a little desk for working, and a bathroom that always had warm water. The restaurant and room both have air conditioning.

Gabriella at the front desk made the biggest difference for me. She was always there to help, made sure I was comfortable, and did it all with a warm smile. She also spoke English, which really helped with my language barrier. Thanks to her, my stay was memorable. The room itself was quiet and the Wi-Fi was excellent, though it was small and just okay, a bit like a cruise stateroom. It felt somewhat dark at night but was bright and pleasant in the daylight. There’s a shared ironing board near the elevator. Breakfast had a good selection and was very good, and ASC is within walking distance.

The staff were incredibly kind, and breakfast was good. The breakfast area looked clean, too. But the room was gross: long hairs everywhere even though we have short hair, a moldy smell in the bathroom, and poop on the trash can lid. The shower was wobbly and there was mold all over. We got in late and exhausted, or we would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. I hate leaving a bad review, but this place needs more cleaning staff and a renovation.

After 15 hours on a blazing hot highway, that loud, fake jazzy Christmas music in the lobby in mid June was a rough welcome. It was so loud I could barely talk with the check in host, and we both had to strain to understand each other. I arrived at midnight, with the outside air still like an oven, and the room was hot and stuffy even though they knew I had a reservation. The bathroom was worn, stained, and foul smelling. The only window had a warped, broken metal frame, and the smoke alarm kept flashing two green lights day and night. There were just two towels, no hand towels or washcloths. No refrigerator either, which was a problem because I needed one for some overheated items. The whole setup felt very Mumbai claustrophobic, the sort of thing Indians with money are impressed by. Ibis seems proud of its synthetic, self proclaimed hipster image, but cool people don't need to get in your face and tell you how cool they are. On the plus side, the two towels didn't reek of detergent, a pleasant surprise after years of the opposite in countless hotels. The desk in the room was wide and quite usable, and security watched the parking lot.
