We came from #Phoenix #to #Mexico because my brother-in-law’s brother had been detained, and we needed somewhere to stay near the immigration entrance while waiting for him. The area is very active, and there’s ongoing street noise. It didn’t really bother me, but people sensitive to noise should know what to expect. I found the hotel pleasant and beautiful, and the owners and caretakers were humble, respectful, and informative. They can share useful information and safety tips, so ask them if you need help before heading farther out. I felt welcome here, given the circumstances and how close it is to the line. A staff member at the INM office mentioned a restaurant with really good tacos, but I didn’t get to try them. I did find a nice lady selling tamales, which I love. Listen for the word tamales if you’re looking for her. When I eat, I eat. My stay in Mexico #was #beautiful #in #full #of #ideas. The streets seemed a little old and bumpy, and I was surprised the city hadn’t gotten a state-funded makeover. There were no lights, which felt a bit scary. I hope they add some, since that could help reduce accidents and the people of this great city deserve it. Imagine what could be rebuilt, a mighty city indeed. With Heaven's Gate not too far away, I feel improvements could help people coming and going, and those gathering there. There are a lot of people in need in those areas. Be mindful and humble, and give if you can. See what your eyes and your heart tell you.
It was clean and nice, with a very good price. The hotel is right by the border, and there are businesses all around. Police are often nearby, so it feels safe. If you want to have a great time, this is the right place.
A cheap, decent place to sleep. It’s convenient for the border and nearby amenities, just don’t expect anything fancy.
I’ve stayed at hotel Reggie's for years and think it’s a very good, safe place to go. There’s a secure parking lot around the back corner.
