We had a flight delay, and they gave us a very late checkout. The place is extremely pet-friendly, and the staff were so warm and welcoming. Definitely the best Best Western I’ve stayed at. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

This was our third stay at BW, and we’ll be back. The hotel is excellent, the staff are wonderful, and management is friendly and always available. You may need some basic Spanish or Google Translate at times. The pool is very good, too. There isn’t much shade in the afternoon, but we were there for the sun and loved it.

The hotel staff were kind and helpful, and a real pleasure to deal with. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great in 95-degree heat. Breakfast had lots to choose from, including made-to-order omelettes, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, breakfast danish, Pan de dulce, and plenty of coffee options. There were also rotating Mexican dishes like pozole, chilaquiles, sopes, dorados, fresh tortillas, beans, and rice.

The people who work at the restaurant are lovely, but I’m crossing it off our list. We’ve eaten there five or six times during our two years in Huatulco, and each visit has been a little worse than the last. They used to have a decent vegan burger, but they didn’t seem to understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian, and it came with mayo. The last time I ordered it, it was a slab of uncooked tetra pack tofu in a bun. I ate it, but it was laughable. Now there are no specifically vegan items on the menu, and when I asked about vegetarian options, they were out of everything. They did run to Chedraui to buy vegetables, which was admirable, but it’s just not for me.
