Traveling solo as a gay traveler, I felt very safe in my private room with ensuite. It was cleaned every day, and after a few days of exploring the town and nearby areas I extended my stay for the rest of the week. The location was a big reason, with Santa Cruz beach about a 20-minute walk away and the town of la Crucecita only a few blocks away. Maribelle at the front concierge didn't speak any English, but she did her best with Google Translate. She was like a house mother and took real pride in her work and keeping the place running. Safe, secure, and clean. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it.

I left my passport in the dormitory by mistake. When I asked to have it sent to me, manager Magaly Hernandez tried to charge me too much, requested a tip, and wouldn't give me the driver's details. Luckily, another contact outside the hotel sorted things out. Receptionist Maribel was lovely, but I found the manager arrogant and very unprofessional. Keep an eye on your belongings here.

We booked a private dorm just 20 minutes before arriving, and it was clean, roomy, and had air conditioning. The host welcomed us warmly and was kind and helpful, with good tips on food and things to do. We'd book here again.

Affordable, with a big kitchen and a laid-back communal space that's partly open to the air. I also loved the rooftop. They have cute private rooms with ensuite bathrooms.
