We got an upgrade because the property was under maintenance. The concrete room was on the small side, but clean and smelled fresh, with strong AC, a fan, and hot water. The host was cheerful and seemed to be cleaning constantly. We didn’t use the tiny pool, but the Wi-Fi was great. For the price, it was good value, and the beach is just a minute away.

Avoid this place. The room smelled of sewage so badly that we couldn’t sleep, and the bed was cramped and uncomfortable. There was a hole in the wall to the next room, making it very noisy, while the windows were taped up and covered with rags. On arrival, our booked room wasn’t ready; after a 20-minute wait we were given a different unclean room, then another one that was also dirty. There was no toilet paper, and used paper was on the floor. Staff didn’t speak English, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and they charged $15 more than the reservation, calling it a climate tax. There was no water in the room or pool. They said the whole island was without water, but that wasn’t true.

The location was phenomenal, and the staff did everything they could to accommodate us. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. I’d highly recommend it and will stay here again when I return to Holbox.

We stayed five nights and had no problems or hassles. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, despite some of the other reviews we’d seen. AC worked perfectly, and the fridge was handy. The cleaning staff were lovely and offered to tidy up every day if we wanted. The location made it easy to get around, with everything we needed close by. We’d definitely recommend the hotel.
