I planned to stay three nights at Barco Verde, but ended up extending by one and staying four. The included breakfast was tasty, and the price felt fair for what you get. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is quiet but close to the island’s town center, and the ferry is only a 10-minute walk away.

The people here made the stay unforgettable. Their kindness, care, and real joy made us feel at home in this little corner of the world. Great location, with breakfast included and a hammock area for chilling out. The bunk beds squeak a bit.

The staff were really kind and accommodating, which made a stressful situation much easier. My credit card was stolen on the way to Holbox, but with everyone’s help it wasn’t really a problem once I was on the island. Great hostel. Do bring mosquito spray!

It’s hard to leave after just two nights. Jeanne took such good care of us, along with her wonderful team, and had all the best tips. She’s an amazing hostess who made us feel right at home in her beautiful hostel. It’s a peaceful, simple place that made it easy to disconnect and forget everything else. Thank you all so much. I hope I can come back soon!
