La Diosa Kali Beach Front Hotel

A lovely place, and the room was clean with everything in good shape. The location was perfect too, just a minute from the beach and close to all the shops and restaurants.

The service and location were incredible, with the beach only about 50 meters away. Our room was simple, but spotless and had everything we needed. Pamela and our funny friend at the breakfast restaurant gave us the best service we experienced in Mexico. Best wishes to them! I’d absolutely recommend staying here in Holbox.

The nearby music bar was the one drawback. It plays unreasonably loud music late into the night, though it didn’t bother me much and could be a problem for light sleepers. The hotel itself is cozy rather than luxurious, well cared for, and run by a very friendly couple. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very nice, and breakfast had a good selection, though it cost extra on top of an already expensive room. I assume prices are high because there aren’t many hotels on the island. The rooms are modest, and sometimes there was no hot water or no water at all. The central location has its downside: the hotel is beside bikini bottom, a very loud disco that plays music until 3 or 4 a.m. Apparently nothing can be done about the noise. If I returned, I’d book farther from bikini bottom. Even with all that, the stay wasn’t terrible.
