The hostel has a relaxed feel, hammocks, free breakfast, and a great location. I took off a star because communication about activities was poor. There’s a WhatsApp group, but they don’t use it to share activities or updates when plans change. The activity board kept being changed without telling anyone, so not many people joined in. The toilet paper rolls were always empty too, and nobody seemed to refill them.

The location is fantastic, the hostel has a great vibe, and the staff are wonderful. The music from the venue across the street was loud, though that’s obviously not the hostel’s fault. Even so, my pal and I booked two extra nights. Big shout out to Genesis, an absolute legend there 💕

The tent was the cheapest option and not the most comfortable, but we knew what we were choosing. Everyone on staff, including the volunteers, was kind, and the laid-back hostel runs lots of fun activities. The one downside was the speaker coming on around 08:30 every morning while we were there, which made it hard to sleep in.

I felt at home almost immediately. Sam was especially kind and attentive, and his positive energy made the hostel feel like a family. Pablo was also a lovely host, always friendly and ready with a smile or a recommendation. The place had a welcoming, lively atmosphere, and my stay was incredible from beginning to end. If you want more than just a bed and are hoping for real human connection and memories to take with you, I wholeheartedly recommend it. Meeting Sam would make it even more special. He’s one of a kind, and I’ll always treasure the experience.

I’ll miss the mapache family! Saludos y hasta luego! This was one of my favorite stays in Mexico. The hostel is close to both the center and the beach, and the vibe is great. There are plenty of activities, plus a free breakfast that changes each day. Everyone on staff was welcoming and super friendly. Special thanks to Sam, whose funny nature is sure to make you smile and who is ALWAYS ready to help.
