Mawimbi Boutique Hotel

We felt looked after throughout our stay at Posada Mawimbi. The staff were warm and accommodating, and helped us sort everything from extending our visit to changing our shuttle plans. A big thank you to Marcia for making it all go so smoothly. The food was some of the best on the island, with a lovely setting right on the beach. With the beautiful boutique rooms and beach, it really is a magical little paradise. I can't recommend staying here enough.

For my 50th birthday, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. We'd never been to Holbox, and this hotel was just what we wanted: the beach right outside our door and town an easy walk away. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks were wonderful. From arrival through our final meal, everything felt perfect. We're already excited to plan another visit and see the staff again.

Mawimbi is right at the edge of town, so it felt peaceful while still being convenient. The staff were welcoming, and the servers were lovely. One night, my son was crying as we walked back to our room, and a server gave him a strawberry to cheer him up. That small gesture really stuck with me. The outdoor areas felt magical, with all the plants and places to lounge, and I loved the fire at night. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with a great balcony and hammocks. We'll be back!

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. We'd been to Holbox once before, but that stay didn't compare with our time at Mawimbi. We spent our days relaxing on the beach, having delicious cocktails and getting to know the staff, Moses, Salvador, Facundo, Alejandro and Onny the owner. Everyone made us feel like family. We were there for a friend's birthday, and the staff went above and beyond: they decorated her room with balloons, brought dessert with a sparkler and sang to her. Salvador made a special impression, greeting us warmly every morning, sharing recommendations each day and bringing his adorable little dog along. The owner was lovely too. From the welcome cocktail and amazing breakfast to the tropical gardens, turquoise beach and wonderful staff, we had such a great time. I hope we can return soon.
