I’m torn on the rating. The rooftop views were a real highlight, with clear sightlines to sunrise and sunset and a lovely breeze. Staff were awesome, always smiling and very accommodating. Rooms felt modern and nice, with good quality sheets, a comfortable bed, and a shower with great pressure. Breakfast started later than I prefer, but the service was friendly and the fruit and pastries were great. My main problem was the Internet. I couldn’t get a steady signal from any of the available access points, and Netflix kept disconnecting and buffering. If reliable Internet matters to you, this hotel will disappoint. They should add wired access points in the rooms, which I think would fix the issue. I’d like to stay again, but if I needed good Internet, I couldn’t choose it. I also wish coffee were available earlier, or that every room had a coffee maker. My deluxe king ocean view room didn’t have one.

The bed was clean enough to sleep in, but that was about the only relief in an awful stay. We had prepaid for 8 nonrefundable nights and left after just one. The room was supposedly $1400 per night. The balcony door wouldn’t latch, and a sliding bolt was added like a garden gate. It still didn’t keep out the smell from the neighboring septic system. There was no pool and no shuttle, despite what was advertised. The bathroom faucet was coming off the sink, there was no hot water, and the shower was only a trickle. The breakfast was hilariously bad, and other guests were making escape plans. Furniture made from fiberboard was in terrible shape; the main door was swollen and cracked at the bottom from water damage, the bathroom mirror was badly corroded, and the hairdryer was cracked. The road up was brutal, with big rocks and holes. Vinyl blinds were filthy and the walls were grubby. MAO hotel group was completely unhelpful and gave us no refund. I’ve since learned this has happened to other guests too. Avoid!
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the hotel. It’s professionally managed, with lovely staff throughout. Bernardino checked us in and was both warm and professional. The included breakfast was a nice start to the day: coffee, teas, juices, fresh fruit, and pastries, before heading out for the island’s great food. Our one-bedroom room had two full bathrooms and a very large terrace with ocean views, accessible from both the living room and bedroom. The website photos were accurate. The grounds were beautiful, the decor modern, and the room had plenty of storage and a safe. My only wish is that there were coffee makers in the rooms. I always bring my coffee from home. It’s a peaceful mid-island escape from the bustle of Centro, yet only minutes by cab from destinations around the island. Gracias Por Todo! 🙏🏽
We’ve stayed here three times and already have another visit booked. It’s away from the north end’s busy areas and has been quiet each time, almost as if we had the place to ourselves. Jair was polite, responsive, and always helpful with room needs, taxis, and other things. The walls and paint could use some TLC, but it’s still a pretty nice place.
The location is amazing, and the price works especially well for a group since four people can fit easily. My disappointment was the advertised spa jacuzzi. Apparently it has to be reserved, and the last time slot is 6pm, so I couldn’t unwind in it before bed as I’d hoped. Also, this is really apartment rooms rather than a hotel.
