Hotel Marcianito

The staff were very nice, and the small fridge and AC both worked great. But the sheets and towels were old and grey, and we ran out of hot water very quickly while showering. Being right downtown is great for location if you can sleep through very loud music all day and almost all night. It felt like the band was playing inside our room.

For the price, it was pretty much what I expected. When I checked, it was the cheapest private room in that area. The room was nice, though the sheets and towels had some stains but were okay. In the morning the room got very bright because the shades didn’t block the light. Apart from that, it was fine: not too noisy at night, and the shower had hot water and decent pressure.

I’m here now, and the room is clean and small but adequate. I knew what I was booking. The AC gets cold quickly, even though it only works with the room key, so you can’t leave it running during the day. By the time I’m out of the shower after returning, the room is cool. We love the music at night and the usual local street sounds. You can hear them, but it doesn’t feel loud, and I’m enjoying it. There isn’t much clothing storage. The closet is large but has only a few hangers, so shelves would be better. The front desk has been attentive and great. When the bathroom light went out, a guy came right away to fix it. The TV and fridge work. Ten stars! The only downside is that parking can be a challenge if you rent a cart, though I think we’ve figured it out. This isn’t luxury, so don’t come expecting that. It’s a clean, cozy room at a budget price, in a perfect location if you want to be near Hidalgo St and the beaches. The bed is firm but still comfortable. I’d come back. Before arriving, communication was really good and replies were fast. They seemed nice and patient with all my questions. I couldn’t wait to stay here. I stayed at their other property last Aug, and it was very clean.

Hotel Marcianito really impressed us. We had a great room overlooking the main street in Isla Mujeres, and it was very clean. We felt safe throughout our stay. There was a coffee maker, mini fridge, shampoo, lotion, towels, and the other basics in the room. The staff speak very little English, but that was fine, and they were super kind. Saturday night was noisier, though we could still sleep with the windows open. We visited in mid-April. On Sunday through Tuesday, the nighttime noise stopped around 9:30 or 10 pm. If you rent a golf cart, street parking is available just around the corner. We’re already planning another trip and will stay at Hotel Marcianto. Thanks for a fabulous stay!
