The breakfast was the best I've had in Mexico so far, and the hotel itself is beautiful with a clean pool. It's a little farther from Centro, and the neighborhood around it can look a bit scary. I'd suggest taking a taxi into town, though walking at night felt safe. I'd definitely visit again.

We spent three nights here and enjoyed every one of them. Swimming in the pool among all the Mayan cabins was an incredible experience. The staff were attentive throughout, and I'll definitely return via the Tren Maya!

Kocai feels more like a small resort than a hotel, and it’s worth the price if you want something different from a cookie-cutter stay. The seven buildings are arranged around a large pool, with an outdoor area to relax in, and the enclosing wall made the place feel safe and comfortable. Our room was nicely done, with an exposed Mayan-style roof that felt like a work of art. There was a hammock and mosquito netting over the bed. Some people say the walk to the center is long, but we found it comfortable and liked being away from the town noise. The experience was even better than the pictures suggested.

The owners and staff are attentive and made us feel like family. The food was amazing too. The design is gorgeous and gives you the feeling of living in a Mayan house. Definitely worth staying!

It's a family-run hotel with a modern feel and plenty of culture. The food was great, and the staff were kind and attentive.
