We had to find somewhere to stay at the last minute, and Las Palomas came through for us. It's peaceful, has beautiful views, and we had a great hostess and breakfast. We highly recommend it.

We could sit on the veranda and watch the sun rise and set over the lake, and breakfast was served there too. Our room opened onto a broad lawn that went right down to the water, and the setting is a 10. She also has two kayaks available to take out on Lake Chapala. The room was clean, and breakfast was adequate, with fresh fruit and eggs made to order. The drawbacks were the location and a couple of basics: it's a bit of a drive from Ajijic, so you need a car or bus to get anywhere; internet was very spotty, apparently because the mountains block the towers along that stretch of road, so we drove into town to work online. The shower water never got fully hot either. Still, we had a very relaxing stay.
