The staff were very helpful, and the location and rooftop views were lovely. Our room was modern, clean, and quite nice. I did take off a star because reaching our third-floor unit meant dealing with stairs and frequently making our way through a lot of people in the building. We also only got about two minutes of hot water. Someone in the next unit said theirs was fine, so perhaps it was just our room. After getting used to it, the cool water was actually refreshing.

We had a great six-day stay, and RM Hotel was very accommodating. Our family of 11 had five of the eight rooms on the floor. The suites are on the top floor of a commercial building, up six flights of stairs. The luggage made the climb a bit tough, but it felt worth it once we got there. All the rooms face a large atrium, which worked well for us since we were there for a wedding and had hair and makeup artists come in. The location was fantastic. Convenience stores, cafés, restaurants, nightclubs, shops, and the beautiful Jardin de la Union were all less than 200 feet from the building. We never felt unsafe. The main entrance is locked at night, and there’s another digital lock at the top floor entrance. The room keys are in lockboxes inside, and they give you the codes at check-in. The rooms were spacious. Three had balconies overlooking the Teatro Principal, nightclub, and café. From the Double Queen window on the other side, you could see the beautiful architecture of nearby buildings and roads, the Monumento Al Pipila, and the Funicular. I stayed in the queen deluxe. It didn't have a view, but the room itself was beautiful, especially the brick ceilings. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows and clean linens. There was actual AC, not just fans, and hot water. The bathroom was modern and spacious, with a huge shower, glass wall and door, towels, and robes. We didn't have any of the water pressure or smell problems mentioned in some other reviews. There’s a communal kitchen and balcony open from 10 AM to 10 PM. I wish they were open all the time, since it would have been nice to sit outside at night and listen to the nightclub music. Mornings were quiet and peaceful, while the nights were lively and fun. If you're a night owl, get a balcony! Every morning we got a WhatsApp message asking if we needed room service. Our housekeeper was so sweet and did a great job. Please tip. I was told this location is part of RM Hotels, one of three in the area. You have to check in at the main desk at Real Guanajuato. The staff there were very accommodating and let us store our luggage when we arrived early. Shout-out to Dulce, who would bring us anything we needed within minutes.

Even though I got there really early, they kindly let me have my room. Great service.

They were attentive from before my visit through to after I left, and I really appreciated the care they put into things. I do think the room could use a few more basics: extra pillows for guests who want a couple, two glasses, either regular or disposable, and another set of towels. I was staying with my partner and had mentioned that when booking. This is a regular guesthouse, not an Airbnb, and those are standard where I've stayed. Still, I'd recommend the place.

The address they sent led to a totally different place, so check the location on maps yourself. I also couldn't check in early, which is fair enough since the hotel doesn't have to allow it. But I was already nearby and said I'd arrive at 3:00 PM, the hotel's required check-in time, and they bluntly told me not to come until AFTER 3:00 PM. I checked out at 6:00 AM even though checkout is at 12:00 PM, and they didn't say a word about that. Awful place, I don't recommend it!
