I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back. It was my first time in Mexico (Baja California sur), and this was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The view and location are lovely, and Max was especially nice. You’re close to the beach for kitesurfing, freediving, or snorkeling with Sealions, and the sea of Cortez has an amazing amount of wildlife. The hostel coffee is really good too. If you like cooking for yourself, the spot is great, with a lovely view straight out to the ocean while you cook.

The communal kitchen and rooftop deck make it easy to meet other travelers, and the view from the hostel is magnificent. My room was great, and it was quiet and peaceful, which matters a lot to me. Max was an incredible host and always ready to go above and beyond for everyone. I almost never write reviews, but La Ventana Hostel was so good I had to. Highly recommend it.

I only got to stay one night before leaving the area, and I wish I could have stayed longer. The dorm was nicely separated, the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the extra blanket, towel, and little ledge for my things. Sunrise and sunset views were amazing. Max was welcoming and helpful, always greeting me with a good morning or hello. This is the best hostel I’ve stayed at, and I’d absolutely recommend it. Hope to come back to La ventana hostel someday. Thank you max!

We only needed a bed for one night, and La Ventana Hostel worked out perfectly. It’s well located for budget travelers or anyone in a pinch, with an easy, comfortable feel. Max, the resident manager, is welcoming, helpful, and clearly cares about guests. The other people staying there were friendly too, and the vibe was relaxed, with no attitude or pretension. There’s a coffee bar on site, and Maco Coffee is close by and amazing. Vulgar on the corner has great food, especially the smash burger. Highly recommend it for good people and nearby food. The common areas have lovely views, and there are some great hostel cats 💗 The rooms are very comfortable, with good beds and hot water. Max made our stay, with his smoothies, little jokes as he passed by, and attention to cleanliness. Best hostel experience for me. I’ll definitely be back!
