Posada del Cortes Hotel

The upstairs bedroom suite looked over the courtyard, and everything in my small kitchen worked well. Housekeeping was discreet and thorough, and I was glad to have coffee, toast, yogurt, and fruit every morning. Josefa and her staff were wonderful. It’s tucked on a side street about a block and a half from the central Plaza, which is handy without being right on it. The place reminded me of Italy, honestly. It’s not a resort and there’s no pool, but it’s certainly more than a two-star hotel. I give it four stars. It was just what I wanted.

The morning breakfast was a lovely touch, delivered to the room at the time we asked. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the walk to the malecón was easy. There’s also a guarded parking lot across the street, a major plus for the car. I loved my stay. The room was so beautiful that I took photos to use as ideas for my future remodel. I can’t believe this is a 2-star hotel, and I’d love to stay here again if I return to Loreto.

Such a nice way to start a busy day: breakfast brought right to our balcony. The place felt special, more like somewhere personal than a hotel, with all its little details and decorations. It was clean, the people were very friendly, and it’s just steps from the main plaza. Hope to come back soon.

This is our favorite place to stay in Loreto. It’s a reasonably priced boutique hotel, something you don’t often find in Baja, and it’s close to the plaza. The staff are helpful and quick to respond to booking questions. Rooms and beds are comfortable, and many rooms have balconies. Hot water is reliable, the bathrooms are good, and there’s a coffee maker and fridge in the rooms. It’s generally quiet.
