I've been back five times now, and finally had to write a review. La Albertina is a real hidden gem in San Martin Texmelucan. The chef makes wonderful food with local, seasonal ingredients, so everything tastes fresh. The restaurant is great for a visit and stay, with delicious local specialties and authentic flavors. Highly recommend it!

All four of us enjoyed our lunch, and the menu has plenty to choose from. The service was excellent, too. We sat in the lovely garden courtyard, and we'll come back next time we're looking for a meal on the drive between Mexico City and Puebla.
